Gospel Trumpets

The Gospel Trumpets, a family band from North Carolina, formed in the early 1970s when the group were adolescents.  Through many years of rehearsals and thousands of performances, they have constantly strived for excellence in their vocal performances, stage appearance and equipment.  In their Earwig recording, Let The Spirit Move Me, they demonstrate by their song selections a firm respect for both older and more contemporary groups with songs such as the traditional “Great Day” to the Five Blind Boys’  “What A Beautiful Day” and “What Is This” by Walter Hawkins.  Each member holds a full-time job while keeping a heavy schedule of rehearsals and concerts.
