Traditional barrelhouse piano and an unbeatable rhythm section make this hard-driving blues album a classic. This is the first new professionally released recording by Dennis, who recorded for Sun, Modern, Chess and United Records in the early 1950s. The album also features two previously unknown and unreleased tracks recorded by Dennis in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1962 with his touring band, which included the great A.C. Reed on tenor sax.
