Dave Jefferson

Dave Jefferson can be heard on the following Earwig recordings: Liz Mandville Greeson’s  Look At Me (CD 4938) and Ready to Cheat (CD 4945), Lil’ Ed and Willie Kent’s Who’s Been Talking (CD 4941), as well as on Louisiana Red’s albums Millennium Blues (CD 4943) and Driftin’ (CD 4947), and on the Earwig concert album, Angels Sing the Blues (CD4972).

Dave Jefferson was a Chicago drummer perhaps best known for his long-standing engagement as drummer in Willie Kent’s band “The Gents.” He was a renowned sideman and session player as well as an alumnus of Albert King’s and Buddy Guy’s bands. On the Earwig Music Company label, he played on Liz Mandville Greeson’s CDs Look At Me and Ready to Cheat, Lil’ Ed and Willie Kent’s Who’s Been Talking (CD 4941), as well as on Louisiana Red’s albums Millennium Blues and Driftin’, and on the Earwig concert album recorded in 2007, Angels Sing the Blues, as a member of Johnny Drummer and the Starliters.
