    Descriptions written by Jackie Torrence

    1) JACK AND THE NORTHWEST WIND (19:43)

Life in the mountains in the winter time is very slow. One long, cold winter night, Jack’s father finds himself without money and without a way to make money. He decides to take a job in the flatlands, leaves what small amount of money he has with his wife, and goes off to work. Other problems are discovered by Jack’s mother, and she sends Jack on a journey to the North Pole to correct these problems. But Jack, as usual, makes more trouble.

    2) JACK AND THE THREE SILLIES (17:10)

Jack’s laziness finally gets him in trouble. His journey to town to sell the last animal on the farm gets him into more trouble than he can deal with. Jack’s wife is so disappointed in his failure that she leaves Jack and threatens never to return unless she meets at least three people as silly as he.

    3) JACK AND THE KING’S NEW GROUND (25:33)

In this story, Jack is not old enough to leave home, but tires of working and runs away from home anyway. He meets the King, who thinks Jack is probably a good worker and pegs him right away as a giant killer. The King hires Jack immediately for grounds cleaning and ridding his kingdom of the 650-foot giant!
